Cultivation Design is an interdisciplinary design studio where art, architecture, and construction are integrated in the pursuit of innovative design solutions. Our goal is to create enduring design; encouraging environmentally and socially responsible development while simultaneously encouraging a market for products and/or services that benefit humans and our environments.

Kristen L'Espérance, Principal, AIA Associate

Educated in Design and Fine Art, Kristen looks for opportunities to synthesize her ideas in novel ways as both a fine artist and a designer. Regardless of medium, L’Espérance sees her work as a vehicle with which she can convey a bigger idea- while at the same time resolving the questions and challenges unique to each project. She is particularly passionate about creating spaces that perform and cater to the unique lifestyles and sensibilities of her clients and their families. 

L’Espérance is a fifth generation Vermonter currently residing in Charlotte. She earned a Bachelor’s degree from The University of Vermont, and a Master’s from Pratt Institute.
